"Um die INSERTS zu verstehen (oder auch nicht, denn es funktioniert sicher auch ohne), drehen wir die Uhr kurz zurück bis zur Schnittmenge der frühen NDW und Punk, bei dem reine Frauenbands noch einen leichten Geschmack von „Aufs Maul, Macker?“ hatten und nicht gefallen, sondern lediglich ein selbstbewusstes Statement abgeben wollten. Meine ersten Gedanken waren ÖSTRO 430, dreckige KLEENEX und mit Blick über den Kanal auch THE SLITS. Alles Bands, die mit den Beinen auf dem Boden standen, musikalisch ohne „…bonus“ überzeugen und aufdringlichen Kerlen durchaus auch mal eine klatschen konnten. Klingt angenehm unverbraucht, frisch, unbemüht natürlich und unverstellt, einfach weil es passt. Elf Songs, Punkrock mit einem ordentlichen Garageneinschlag, ohne große Schnörkel und Firlefanz, die jeden erfreuen, der vor Östro ein wenig „Respekt“ oder Angst hatte, dem die ÄTZTUSSIS zu dilettantisch und FRAU HAGEN zu musikalisch waren. Klingt zudem exzellent aufgenommen, falls ich das noch nicht erwähnt haben sollte.“ (Kalle Stille)
